Walter Costa
Photographer, book publisher and founder of the TRAMA project
WALTER COSTA (Italy) is an independent publisher and photographer based in São Paulo. He works with Brazilian and international authors in the development of his photobook projects. Researcher and teacher in the area of editing and visual storytelling, he studies the hybridism o f the narrative between photography and other languages. From this research created the project The Rising Card, a deck of cards with tips and exercises to help authors to edit their projects. He is the founder of the TRAMA photobook group, which since 2014 organizes events and workshops across the continent. He is the coordinator of the study group LOMBADA-Laboratory of Photobooks in São Paulo. He teaches and lectures in different institutions and events in Latin America and Europe, also participating as a jury in several photobook awards.
