Gilberto Ribeiro

Communication designer and teacher

Gilberto made his academic education through the courses of Graphic Design and Publicity at the School of Industrial Studies and Management (ESEIG), and Communication Design at the School of Arts and Design of Matosinhos (ESAD) where he finished with an investigation into "White Space in Communication Design". He currently teaches on Graphic Design and Multimedia courses at the School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD), worked as a freelancer for brands like Brusque Footwear, Levi’s and Minho University and also has a very active attitude in the development of cultural initiatives such as Arcada Design, Presente_ and now at MAD Summer School. He has received some awards such as Best Booth Design by FN Platform Las Vegas and you can find his work as part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco (SFMoMA), in several books and magazines like Hightone Book, Dots Obsession, Branding Element, Dotted Visuals, Pli Arte e Design, Computer Arts and Advanced Photoshop.
